New Ethics Review Manager (ERM) User Interface (UI)
The Ethics RM (ERM) system will be updated in mid-August 2026 with a new user interface. This update introduces changes to the appearance, layout, and navigation of the system, while the underlying functionality and application processes will remain unchanged. The update is intended to improve the overall user experience.
Users can continue to use ERM as normal. Existing applications, submissions, and user accounts will not be affected by the change.
To support users with the transition, updated guidance materials and user manuals reflecting the new interface will be made available on the HDEC website. These resources include updated screenshots and navigation guidance to help users familiarise themselves with the revised layout.
Further information, including the confirmed go-live date will be provided closer to implementation.
